Today we did some playtesting (just people trying to navigate the space, nothing was implemented there yet) and I want to point out some things I have to consider in future development.
- The light navigation works ok. Testers were attracted to the correct places. Thus I might want to verbally give a hint in the beginning to pay attention to lighting. But even given no instructions testers walked quite intuitively.
- The area was admitted to look brutalist, which is one of my goals.
- I should think through what is player supposed to do and where to go.
- Concentrate navigation lights more to the eye level, as from players camera it looks not as I expected.
- Might consider brightening up the area. But that depends on the light plan I’m yet to make.
- Change or alter controller
- Fill the area with details
