6: Playtest 1

Today we did some playtesting (just people trying to navigate the space, nothing was implemented there yet) and I want to point out some things I have to consider in future development.

  1. The light navigation works ok. Testers were attracted to the correct places. Thus I might want to verbally give a hint in the beginning to pay attention to lighting. But even given no instructions testers walked quite intuitively.
  2. The area was admitted to look brutalist, which is one of my goals.
  3. I should think through what is player supposed to do and where to go.
  4. Concentrate navigation lights more to the eye level, as from players camera it looks not as I expected.
  5. Might consider brightening up the area. But that depends on the light plan I’m yet to make.
  6. Change or alter controller
  7. Fill the area with details
